Contact
Write to support@operalytix.com about anything to do with the app or the dashboard: a sign-in that does not work, a driver who does not appear on the map, an alert you did not expect, an error you do not understand. We answer in English or Bulgarian on Bulgarian business days, usually within two business days.
Questions about personal data, or a deletion you cannot make in the app, go to privacy@operalytix.com.
Operalytix Fleet is operated by Evolves EOOD ("Evolves" Ltd.), trading as Operalytix, UIC 206114078, 14 Tsar Osvoboditel Blvd, floor 6, Sredets, 1000 Sofia, Bulgaria.
Getting started
For owners
- Install Operalytix Fleet from the App Store, or open fleet.operalytix.com.
- To sign up with your email and a password, choose Create a company. To use Sign in with Apple instead, tap Sign in with Apple on the sign-in screen of the iPhone app, then choose Create a company. In the web dashboard, if Sign in with Apple is available there, the Create a company page has a Sign in with Apple button; enter the company name first.
- Add your vehicles, then invite your team under Team › Invite in the web dashboard (or Settings › Team in the iPhone app). Each invitation has a code and a link, valid for 14 days.
- In Settings, set the speed limit, which alerts are on and their thresholds (Alerts and thresholds), the maximum shift length, units (km/h or mph) and how long raw location data is kept.
- Draw your zones under Zones.
Before your drivers start, tell them in writing how tracking works and why. The privacy policy describes what the service records; as the employer, you are responsible for informing your drivers and for any internal rules the law requires.
For drivers and dispatchers
Open the invitation link on your iPhone, or install the app, choose Join with an invite code and enter the code you received. Then set a password or use Sign in with Apple. If the code has expired, ask your company for a new one.
Questions drivers ask
When is my location tracked?
Only while you are clocked in. Tracking starts when you tap Clock in and stops when you tap Clock out. Before and after your shift, the app does not record or send your location, and the server would refuse it. While you are on a shift, the Live Activity on your Lock Screen shows the shift timer, your speed and that tracking is on.
During a shift, your company's owners and dispatchers can see your position, speed and status on a live map, and later the route you drove. They see when you leave or enter a zone and receive alerts for speeding, long stops and lost signal. Every time someone opens your location history, it is written to the audit log.
Why does the app ask for "Always" location access?
So that tracking continues when your iPhone is locked or you switch to another app during a shift, for example to navigation or a phone call. Without it, iOS stops location updates as soon as the app is in the background, and your company would see you as offline.
The app asks for "Always" only after your first clock-in, not before, and first explains why on a short screen: tap Continue to see the iOS question. If you keep "While Using the App", the shift screen offers "Always" again, at most once per shift. "Always" does not mean the app tracks you all the time: the app uses your location only between clock-in and clock-out. You can change the permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Operalytix Fleet. If you choose "While Using the App", tracking works only while the app is on screen.
The app says Precise Location is off.
Zones and the speed limit can only be checked with your exact position. If Precise Location is off for Operalytix Fleet, the app asks you to allow precise location for the current shift, and until you do, your company sees "Approximate location". To turn it on for good: Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Operalytix Fleet › Precise Location.
Does it drain my battery?
GPS during driving uses energy, like any navigation app. The app uses Apple's mode for driving, which saves power when the phone is not moving, and sends positions in batches rather than one by one. Over a full shift, expect noticeably more battery use than on a normal day. Keep the phone on a charger in the vehicle if you can. Outside your shift the app uses no location and almost no battery.
What happens without mobile signal?
Positions are stored on the phone and sent automatically when the connection returns. You do not need to do anything. Your company may briefly see you as "Offline" in the meantime.
What are zones?
Zones are areas your company draws on the map, such as a depot, a delivery area or a city. Each zone can apply to all drivers, to specific drivers or to specific vehicles, at all times or only during shifts or set hours. Your company can be alerted when a vehicle leaves or enters a zone.
In the app, you see the zones that apply to you, and the app warns you when you are close to the edge of one. Short GPS jumps at the edge do not count as leaving: a crossing counts only after two consecutive positions outside, or one position more than 25 m beyond the edge.
Why did I get a speed warning?
Your company has set a speed limit for its vehicles (for example 90 km/h), and the app warns you on the phone when you go above it. It is not the legal limit of the road you are on. Always follow road signs. Never handle the phone while driving.
Can I take a break?
Yes. Tap Start break and End break. Breaks are recorded on your shift. Tracking continues during a break while you are clocked in, but you show as "On break" instead of "Idle".
I forgot to clock out.
Clock out as soon as you notice. If you cannot, ask a dispatcher: they can end the shift and correct its times. Any correction is recorded with who made it.
If a shift stays open longer than your company's maximum shift length (16 hours unless your company changed it), it ends automatically at the time of your last recorded position, tracking stops and the app tells you.
Can I lock the app with Face ID?
Yes. Turn on Unlock with Face ID in the app's Settings (drivers: Profile). The app then asks for Face ID, or your passcode, when it opens and after it has been in the background for 5 minutes. iOS checks your face on your iPhone; the app and your company never receive any biometric data. Locking the app does not stop tracking during a shift.
Questions owners and dispatchers ask
A driver is not on the map.
Check that the driver is clocked in, that location permission for Operalytix Fleet is set to "Always" with Precise Location on, that Low Power Mode is off, and that the phone has signal. A driver who stops sending positions for longer than the offline threshold in Settings appears as "Offline" and triggers an alert.
How do I receive alerts?
In the iPhone app, tap Turn on on the card at the top of Alerts and allow notifications. If the card is no longer shown, use Get alerts on this iPhone under Settings › Notifications, or, if you already declined, Notification settings on iPhone there. Zone exits and entries, a signal lost near a zone, speeding and drivers going offline arrive as Time Sensitive notifications; the other alerts arrive as ordinary notifications. In the web dashboard, allow browser notifications when asked. Choose which alerts you receive under Settings › Notifications. Every alert also appears under Alerts, where you can acknowledge it with a note.
Owners decide under Settings › Alerts and thresholds which alerts the company gets at all: when speeding, long idle or offline alerts are switched off there, they are not created for anyone, but drivers' statuses and positions are still shown.
How long is location history kept?
Raw location points are kept for 90 days by default, and then deleted automatically. You can choose between 7 and 730 days under Settings. Shift totals, alerts and zone events stay after the raw points are deleted. Export reports as CSV under Reports before then if you need them.
A driver asked for a copy of their data.
Open the driver under Drivers and choose Export data (ZIP) (owners only; in the iPhone app, Export data in the driver's details). The ZIP file contains the driver's profile, shifts, breaks, all location points still kept, alerts, zone events, the fuel records they entered and the audit log entries about them, with explanations in English and Bulgarian. The export is recorded in the audit log. As the employer, answer the driver within one month.
Forgot your password?
- On the sign-in screen of the iPhone app or of fleet.operalytix.com, choose Forgot password? and enter the email address of your account.
- Open the email from Operalytix Fleet and follow the link within 30 minutes. Each link works only once, and if you asked for several, only the newest one works. If the link has expired, ask for a new one.
- Choose a new password, then sign in again on each of your devices. Resetting the password signs you out everywhere, and your devices receive no notifications until you sign in again.
If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. For your security, we never say whether an email address has an account. If you use Sign in with Apple, you can set a password the same way. If you can no longer receive email at your account's address, ask an owner of your company for help: without access to that address, we cannot change the password for you.
Signed-in devices
Your account settings list the devices where you are signed in, with the device name and app version: in the iPhone app under Settings › Account › Signed-in devices (drivers: Profile › Account › Signed-in devices), on the web under Account › Signed-in devices. Sign out a device you no longer use, or choose Sign out all other devices. A signed-out device receives no more notifications. If you lost your only device, sign in on another one, or reset your password (see above), which signs you out everywhere.
Deleting your account
In the iPhone app, open Settings › Account › Delete account (owners and dispatchers) or Profile › Account › Delete account (drivers). In the web dashboard, click your name at the bottom of the sidebar (Account) and choose Delete account. Confirm with your password, or with Apple if you use Sign in with Apple (an account without a password is deleted in the iPhone app).
- Your sign-in, sessions, profile, notification tokens and all raw location points recorded on your shifts are deleted immediately.
- Your company keeps the shift records and alerts with your name as it was at the time, because they are its working-time records. Ask your company how long it keeps them.
- If you are the only owner of a company, deleting your account deletes the whole company and all its data. The app asks you to confirm this separately. To keep the company, make another member an owner first.
- If you use Sign in with Apple, Operalytix Fleet is also removed from the apps using Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account.
An owner can also delete the whole company with all members and data: Settings › Company › Delete company, in the dashboard or in the iPhone app, confirmed with the company's name and the password (or Apple).
If you can no longer sign in, write to privacy@operalytix.com from the email address of your account, and we will carry out the same deletion. The details are in the privacy policy.
What to include when you write
- The app version (iPhone: at the bottom of Settings › Legal and support, or Profile › Legal and support for drivers) and your iOS version, or the browser you use.
- What you were doing, on which screen, and what you expected to happen.
- When it happened, as closely as you can, and the exact wording of any error.
Please do not send passwords or invitation codes by email.
